I am an Assistant Professor of Enviromental Humanities in the department of Liberal Studies at Cal State LA. My background in environmental studies grows from my deep interests in how animals and science intersect in American culture.  I am an American Studies PhD, a former equine veterinary technician, a current teacher in higher ed, and a lifelong horsewoman.  My work with animals informs the kinds of questions I ask about the complexities of human-technology-animal networks and the environments that are shaped by these intersections.
